Excellent leaders are supported by excellent talent

In the previous session, we looked at ways to evolve as a leader—from aspirations through actualization to passing the torch. In this sixth and final email, we'll explore how the strongest leaders run their talent programs to support healthy, happy, productive workers.

Generative AI (gen AI). Hybrid work. Burnout. The dreaded specter of disengagement. Talent leaders have a lot to contend with in these unprecedented times of employee turnover, shifting priorities, and galloping technological advancements.

One north star to steer by? “We’re starting to put the ‘human’ back in human resources,” says McKinsey partner Bryan Hancock. “Thinking about learning and development in a more holistic way.” Leaders in all fields looking to level up would do well to reacquaint themselves with what matters to their teams, and the relationship between healthy employees and the bottom line. Here are five steps to get started.
