Interest in advanced air mobility (AAM) is soaring, especially for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which include flying taxis. Passenger AAM flights are poised to have bigger fleets and more—but much shorter—daily flights than the world’s largest airlines, say McKinsey partner Robin Riedel and coathors.
