What comes to mind when you think of tech companies? In recent years, companies in Silicon Valley have dominated headlines—and for good reason: they are among the best performing stocks of the past decade. But there is a another type of tech company that’s going largely unseen, creating millions of high-quality jobs and driving innovation across the US. These are industrial-technology companies, which could be redefining the future of US manufacturing. While most are not household names, these companies have seen an 11 to 15 percent return on invested capital over the past decade, rivaling that of Silicon Valley’s top performers.
