Quantum mechanics is 100 years old. And it’s only gaining momentum. Last year was the hottest on record for three uses of quantum—computing, communication, and sensing—by orders of magnitude. In a new report, McKinsey Partner Henning Soller and coauthors show how surging investment and accelerating innovation could generate nearly $100 billion in revenue worldwide by 2035.

Global trade tectonics are shifting. If tariffs persist, US imports from China may decrease dramatically. This stands to impact everything from Christmas décor to semiconductors and lithium-ion batteries. For more, check out a new report from the McKinsey Global Institute on what our experts have called the “great trade rearrangement.”

We hope you find these ideas inspiring and insightful. See you in a couple of weeks with more McKinsey ideas for the CEO and others in the C-suite.
